Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) About Medallion and OceanReady
1. What is changing with this new release of OceanReady?
We have streamlined the check-in process to provide a more efficient experience for our guests to arrive at our cruise terminals to board our ships! This enhancement to the pre-cruise OceanReady experience helps ensure that all guests are provided with a simplified way to proceed through check-in via three differentiated lanes: Green Lane—guests who have completed all five steps of the Travel Checklist and have elected to ship their Medallion(s) to their residential address. Blue Lane—guests who have completed some, none, or all five steps of the Travel Checklist, but have not elected to have their Medallion(s) shipped to their residential address, and therefore must pick up their Medallion(s) at the terminal. Accessibility Lane—guests with mobility or other accessibility needs will always have a lane available to them for a more streamlined check-in experience, regardless of their OceanReady color designation.
2. Why is Princess making these changes to OceanReady?
The enhancements to our OceanReady platform were made based on feedback from our guests regarding the value that comes from having everything completed ahead of time! For guests who completed the necessary information within the Travel Checklist and have their Medallions with them when they arrive at the terminal, there are no other steps required at the terminal for check-in outside of having their passport (or other travel document) verified by a Princess representative. This allows us to provide a more streamlined and seamless check-in experience compared to those guests who did not have their Medallion shipped and must pick it up at the terminal.

Guests are no longer required to select an arrival group time following this change -- guests can arrive within the check-in window at a time that is convenient for them. General check-in beginning and ending times will be displayed on the travel summary page which is accessible via Cruise Personalizer. We also encourage all guests to book their airfare and transfers with Princess, as this allows us to better assist them in every step of their journey. Those who make independent travel arrangements are encouraged to input their travel arrangements within the Travel Information section of the Travel Checklist in the Princess mobile application or the OceanReady website. This will ensure that the company has the most up-to-date information regarding their arrival and departure plans.

All full-suite, Elite, Platinum, and Reserve Collection guests will still be able to take advantage of the Green, Blue, or Accessibility lanes as part of their check-in process. These guests will also receive expedited boarding privileges if check-in begins before the ship has been cleared for boarding by local authorities. Where applicable, terminals with designated priority seating lounges and/or food/beverage offerings will continue as a value-added benefit.
9. Can I still become OceanReady at any time pre-cruise? All guests can still complete the Travel Checklist at any time before their arrival at the terminal for check-in. We strongly encourage all guests to complete the Travel Checklist even if the 13-day period has passed as this will save valuable time during the embarkation process.
